NOTES FROM THE TABLE

Choose a starting deal

Keep these points in mind. Numbered Deals lets you choose a reproducible Spider starting layout on nysldjx.com. Select one suit, two suits or four suits before loading the deal. The number and suit setting together identify the starting shuffle. Enter a whole deal number between 1 and 4294967295.

Load a chosen number

Keep these points in mind. Load deal applies the number and suit setting in the controls. The Deal number field accepts positive whole numbers within the displayed range. An active unfinished game asks for confirmation before loading another selection. Loading a different number can replace progress saved for the same mode and suit setting.

Reproduce the layout

Here are the details for this mode. The same deal number and suit setting produce the same opening cards with this game's shuffle algorithm. Move choices after the opening are entirely up to the player. Changing the suit setting changes the deck used to create the deal. A deal number identifies a starting layout rather than a saved position halfway through play.

Copy the deal link

When automatic copying is unavailable, the game displays a selectable link field. A shared numbered link opens the corresponding starting deal or matching local progress. Sharing a link does not transfer another player's move history or statistics. Copy deal link includes the selected number and suit setting in the page's link fragment.

Collect eight sequences

Keep these points in mind. A full descending sequence containing different suits stays on the tableau. Numbered Spider uses 104 cards arranged in ten columns with a stock pile. Win by completing eight same-suit King-to-Ace sequences. A qualifying face-up run is removed automatically.

Keep movable groups together

Keep these points in mind. Any legal movable group may enter an empty column. The destination card may belong to another suit in standard Spider. An exposed card can move onto a card exactly one rank higher. A descending same-suit group can move together as one unit.

Prepare another row

Here are the details for this mode. Fill every empty column before using the stock. Undo can restore the position before a stock deal while the snapshot is available. Five stock deals are available at the beginning of a numbered game. Each stock deal adds one card to each of the ten columns.

Explore one layout

Keep these points in mind. Comparing different openings on one number can help you study your own decisions. New game chooses another deal number for the current suit setting. The current number remains visible beside the game controls. Replay resets the current number to its original shuffle.

A reproducible deal is not a proof

Keep these points in mind. The Hint button reports legal options rather than solving the whole game. Some choices can make a position harder even when another line might succeed. Winning Deals provides a separate collection with verified legal solutions. Numbered shuffles are not advertised as guaranteed winnable.

Progress on this browser

The following details apply here. Use Privacy & Cookie Settings to manage or clear local records on this domain. With saving enabled, Numbered Deals keeps a current game for each suit setting in this browser. My Statistics lists numbered starts and wins separately from ordinary Spider games. A matching saved game resumes when you revisit its number.
